Wifi direct (for Android devices)
To connect your android device to your projector, you do not require any third-party applications because you can do it with the help of wifi direct. Read the user manual to know if your projector supports wifi direct, and follow the steps below if it does.
1. Switch on the screen mirroring
Click on settings > wireless display and turn on the screen sharing.
2. Enable wifi direct
Go to settings
Click on connections/ network and internet.
Turn on the wifi
Go to wifi preferences/ advanced options.
Select wifi direct
3. Your device will show all nearby devices with wifi direct. Select your projector from the list and click on connect.
4. Your phone will now be connected to the projector.
Using a USB
You can also connect your phone to the projector using a USB cable.

- Connect your phone and projector with the help of a USB cable.
- A security notification will pop up on your phone.
- Confirm the security of the connected device.
- If you are using an iOS device, the projector will start displaying your screen.
- If you are using an android device, and your screen is not displayed, or nothing happens after plugging in the USB, you may have to install a third-party application.
Using an HDMI
You might have noticed that not all projectors have a USB port. But an HDMI port is present on every projector. To connect your device and projector using an HDMI, you need another device called an MHL. An MHL is called a mobile high-definition link. It allows the connection of devices with different ports and allows them to share media files.
You will require an MHL Micro USB to HDMI video converter and a micro USB cable.
- Switch on the projector
- Insert an HDMI cable into the adapter post and the other end into the projector HDMI port.
- Connect the micro USB cable of the adapter to your mobile phone.
- Wait until the devices are synchronized with each other. The process will be visible on your mobile phone. After complete synchronization, the projector is ready to display the contents of your mobile phone.
Using Bluetooth
You can connect your phone to the projector wirelessly via Bluetooth too. Although there may be some delay in the audio, it can be overcome with the help of a Bluetooth audio gadget.

- Press enter on your projector so that the projector menu is displayed.
- Select Bluetooth from the menu and enable the projector Bluetooth.
- Now go to the device list and select the device you wish to connect with the projector.
- Make sure the Bluetooth mark turns blue. You must reconnect if it’s still gray by repeating the above steps.
Chromecast
Chromecast is a smart streaming device by Google. For those who don’t know, It’s a simple wireless device that is compatible with all phones. Here’s how you can easily use it for your projector.
- Switch on the projector.
- Plug in the Chromecast in the HDMI port of the projector.
- Plug in the power cable to the USB port of the projector.
- Go to the play store and install the “google home app” on your mobile phone.
- Open the app on your mobile phone.
- Select “accounts” and put in your google account info.
- After successfully logging in, select the profile icon on the foot of the screen. Then click on “mirror device.” ( in some cases, a warning may be displayed that YOUR DEVICE IS NOT OPTIMIZED FOR CASTING, in such cases, click on ok as your device will still be connected to Chromecast.
- Now click on “cast screen/audio.”
- Your projector is now connected to your phone via Chromecast, and the contents of your phone will be displayed on the projector screen.
Miracast
Miracast is also a smart streaming device like Chromecast. But it’s more cost-effective than Chromecast, and your device must be miracast compatible to use it. Here’s how to use it for your projector.
- Switch on the projector.
- Plug in the miracast device in the HDMI port of the projector.
- Plug in the power cable to the USB port of the projector.
- Go to the play store and install the “miracast” app on your mobile phone.
- Open the app on your mobile phone.
- Now click on settings > wireless display and turn on the screen sharing.
- Select the Miracast adapter from the list of available devices.
